What positivity really is

More than "just have a good day"

The book gives kids real little examples, so they recognize positivity in everyday moments, not just the easy ones.

๐Ÿƒ

On a rainy day

Positivity isn't pretending it's sunny, it's noticing puddles make great splashes.

๐ŸŒธ

When a friend hurts your feelings

It's saying how you feel kindly, and remembering one moment doesn't define a friendship.

๐Ÿ

When something feels hard

It's whispering, 'I can't do this yet,' and trying one tiny step.

๐Ÿฐ

When someone's left out

It's the brave little 'come sit with us' that changes a whole afternoon.

๐ŸŒป

When you make a mistake

It's saying sorry, learning, and growing. Mistakes are how brains get stronger.

๐Ÿฆ‹

On a really good day

It's sharing the joy out loud so it spreads to everyone around you.

For parents

How to wire your child's brain for positivity

Four small habits, woven into your day. The book turns each one into a story, so the lesson sticks without ever feeling like a lesson.

01

Name the feeling

Before fixing, just name it. 'I feel disappointed.' Naming calms the brain's alarm.

02

Find one tiny good thing

Even one, the smell of toast, a soft blanket. Tiny wins train the brain to scan for joy.

03

Say it out loud

Spoken gratitude wires the connection deeper than the silent kind. Make it a daily ritual.

04

Repeat tomorrow

Positivity isn't a mood, it's a muscle. Three minutes a day, and the brain rewires itself.

About the author

Meet Retaal, age 13

Retaal is a 13-year-old author who believes every child deserves a library full of stories that make them feel seen. She started writing Adventures in Positivity because she noticed how often kids are told to "just be happy", without anyone showing them what that actually means.

The main message

Positivity isn't a sunny mood you wait for. It's a tiny daily practice, naming feelings, finding one good thing, and being kind out loud, that slowly wires a young brain to find light, even on the cloudy days.

Written with love, for every little reader.
